Lumber is moved to an automated banding system that utilizes pneumatic banding equipment. Each package is secured using wide metal banding with protective corners and attached package “feet.” Heat treated export feet are provided with shipments to our export customers who require wood packaging material to meet the European Union guidelines. Also at this time, computer generated tags are printed and attached to individual units which show the total number of pieces, board footage, and width and length tallies of each package.
